Full description
This is a 6-hour experience from Ubud, built around Tegallalang Rice Terrace, Satria Agrowisata and Kanto Lampo Waterfall. It is run by PT Wanderlust Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.
Pickup is offered from Ubud and Bali; the exact spot and time are agreed with PT Wanderlust Bali Tours once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

Great tour and we had the most amazing guide Konik!
Kadek was my tour guide, and I can highly recommend him. He explained everything very clearly and in detail. He didn’t only talk about the tour and the activities, but also told us a lot about Indonesian religion, traditions, customs, and culture. This made the tour much more interesting and special. The transfer from the hotel was also on time, exactly as we had agreed. Everything was well organized and went smoothly.
I had a wonderful day with Konik! He took me to the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, a coffee plantation, and a beautiful waterfall. He was incredibly kind, attentive and friendly and shared lots of interesting information about Bali, the local culture and the people.
