Full description

This is a 7-hour experience from Ubud, built around Happy Swing Bali, Abian Desa Rice Terrace and Tirta Empul. It is run by Your Best Bali Driver & Guide, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

Pickup is offered from Nusa Dua Beach, Ubud Palace, Kuta, Denpasar, Ubud and Canggu; the exact spot and time are agreed with Your Best Bali Driver & Guide once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The price covers Pick up and drop off, Parking fee, driver/guide and Bottled mineral water. It does not cover Entrance fees to all attractions listed in the itinerary, Payable on site, Driver/guide can recommend local restaurants and Gratuities for guide and driver, so budget for those separately. It was a perfect day trip to the Ubud area from Nusa Dua filled with temples, rice fields, waterfalls and coffee. Gun was our guide and provided speedy, safe, and clean rides from one destination to the next. He also was super friendly to chat with and taught us about Hindu customs, local cuisine, and life in Bali. Highly recommend!
