Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Big Tree Jewelry Classes, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Ubud is the centre of Bali's craft villages: Celuk for silver and gold work, Mas for woodcarving, Batuan for its style of painting, and Batubulan for stone. Craft classes take the same skills into a workshop with an instructor and take three to four hours, and you leave with the piece you made. Silver classes work in sterling silver with hand tools, saws and a torch; carving classes work in soft hibiscus or jackfruit wood; batik uses hot wax and dye on cotton and needs time to dry. The classes are hands-on rather than demonstrations, so wear something that can take dye or wax.
The price covers Swimming pool access, 1 - 6 grams of pure silver for 1 jewelry design, Tools and equipment for jewelry making, local silversmith instructor and Air-conditioned studio environment. It does not cover Hotel transfer, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

This was such a wholesome experience!! I absolutely loved it, they also offer gold unlike many places, worth every penny!! I love my ring and love how you can engrave it with anything you choose also had the opportunity to engrave this inside which I love!! Amazing staff too so sweet and funny! 100% would recommend!!!
A fantastic guided jewellery making course. The teacher was very attentive and explained everything clearly. For improvement, I would suggest giving better instructions about the location of the workshop, which is Alam Ubud Jewellery Workshop (disregard the directions about Alam Wayang Ubud Resort, because that is a totally different location on Google Maps). Plus, you need scooter or hotel buggy to get there, cars/taxis cant drive up to the narrow entrance.
The activity was so fun!! Very happy with our rings and couldn’t have asked for a better teacher in Arsa!
We really enjoyed our session and the team accommodated to us when our transport was delayed, making us late. Aniska was a lovely guide and even cleaned my own ring for me whilst working on my custom ring. We enjoyed it very much 😊
