Full description
This is a 9-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
East Bali is the quieter side of the island under Mount Agung. The Sidemen valley has rice terraces without the crowds of Tegallalang and a view straight up to the volcano; Tirta Gangga is a water palace built by the last raja of Karangasem in 1946, with stepping stones across a carp pond; Taman Ujung is the same family's earlier palace of 1919 on the coast. Besakih, the mother temple, is a complex of 23 temples at 1,000 metres on Agung's slope and needs a sarong and, since 2023, an official guide. Further round the coast, Amed has black-sand beaches and Tulamben has the USAT Liberty, a cargo ship torpedoed in 1942 and pushed into the sea by Agung's 1963 eruption, now a wreck dive and snorkel from the beach.
The price covers Hotel pick up and drop off, Tour guide, Mineral water and Entrance tickets. It does not cover Personal expenses, Meals, Optional add-ons and Gratuities, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

I had a wonderful day out with Ketut (Joe). He was always joking and spoke very good English. He was very knowledgeable. We went to some beautiful scenic spots. East Bali is so beautiful. Thanks so much ☺️
Karba John was an amazing guide. He knows a lot and could answer al my questions. The trip was amazing and I saw a lot. I love the salt pans the most. You can buy the salt and it is amazing. Would definitely recommend.
I absolutely loved exploring the east of Bali with Popo as my guide. One of the highlights was visiting Tenganan Village, where I had the chance to experience original Balinese culture and traditions firsthand. It felt incredibly authentic and eye-opening. Another standout was Taman Ujung Water Palace, the views were stunning and peaceful, making it a perfect place to take in the beauty of Bali. Popo was an excellent guide with deep knowledge of Balinese culture. What made the experience special was that he didn’t just explain historical facts, he shared personal stories and real cultural expe
I had an amazing day trip in Bali thanks to my guide, Jolly. From start to finish, he made the entire experience smooth, comfortable, and unforgettable. He took me to Menanga, Batur Tenga, the beautiful Saraswati Temple, Ujung Water Palace and other places. He guided me all around Ubud with so much knowledge and patience. Jolly shared stories, local insights, and hidden gems that made each stop feel special. His driving was safe, his timing was perfect, and he made sure I always felt relaxed and well taken care of. It truly felt like exploring Bali with a trusted friend. If you’re looking for
Taman Ujung is a must when visiting Bali! Pure charm and natural beauty are the points of strength of this destination, which sometimes is missed even if it’s not far from Tirta Gangga (20 mins approx). I had a very pleasant experience thanks to Joe/Ketut, my guide/photographer/driver for a day. Very recommended! East Bali is enchanting, quiet and peaceful, it was great to see off the beaten path places.
Juni is the best guide we had so far in Bali! love him so much! everything bout the tour with him was amazing! 100% recommended
Sandi was very informative about everything. We had a very lovely day. The restaurant and view to Mount Agung was fantastic. Hope to see you again soon
Our guide Iwayan Kar contacted us the day before and picked us up as scheduled. We had an amazing day and the higlight of the tour for us was the coffee tasting, the water palace and the Village tour. It is rainy season and we experienced quite a bit of rain, but our guide was so helpful with umbrella og planned the tour just perfectly. We had so many questions about everything from agriculture, traditions, religion, animals etc and our guide happily answered all our questions in excellent english. Thank you so much for an amazing day!
What a great day to remember! Mr Long is a very attentive guide, speaks good English, drives very well and knew a lot to tell. I was so happy that he went with me inside the attractions to explain. He also took good pictures of me, since I am alone. I can recommend everyone to have him as a guide for this adventure! Bali is so beautiful.
Our guide Dwipa was wonderfully charming and knowledgeable. He made our trip very comfortable and happily answered our questions about culture and information about the Water Palace, the sea salt and Candidasa. The Water Palace is stunning and incredibly serene and relaxing. Sadly, the commercialisation and tourists/resorts have overrun Sidemen Village which left a slightly sour taste. Overall, Dwipa sensed our disappointment but did his best to keep our spirits up and took us to a lovely location for lunch that allowed for one of the last splendid views of the rice terraces, ableit toutists o
My guide spoke great English, was knowledgeable on local culture, polite and friendly.
Tarka was a really great guide, very kind and he took the time to show us what the tourists don’t usually see : walking through the ricefields, visiting a local village and share a moment with local people, it was really a great day !
