This is a 7-hour experience from Ubud, built around Bali Botanic Garden, Handara Iconic Gate and Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. Ulun Danu Beratan is the temple on the shore of Lake Bratan at Bedugul, 1,200 metres up in the central highlands, built in 1633 to honour the lake goddess; its two shrines appear to float when the water is high. The air up here is 8 to 10 degrees cooler than the coast and it is often misty by early afternoon, so mornings are clearer. The Handara Gate, the split gate on a golf course road nearby, and the swings above the Wanagiri twin lakes are the other stops on the same road. From Ubud it is about two hours each way, so this is a full day, usually combined with a north Bali waterfall or the Jatiluwih terraces.

We went to Ulun Danu temple, Handara Gate and Bedugul Botanical Garden- it was one of a kind experience. Komang our guide was amazing- he showed us all the spots, told us the story behind the temple and clicked great pictures- highly recommend him for your next tour. We booked this tour because we didn’t want 5-6 points, instead wanted to explore just these 3 spots slowly and enjoy North Bali at its best. Thank you for the superb experience!

Bali botanical gardens was peaceful and away from the crowds. My guide Andre was brilliant, Very knowledgeable of the area and the local fauna and flora, and a really lovely guy. Loved seeing Ulun temple and Handara gate as well. Overall I would really recommend this trip.
