Full description

This is a 1-hour experience from Ubud, built around Kanto Lampo Waterfall, Candi Tebing Gunung Kawi and Coffee plantation. It is run by CV ANUGERAH DEWATA BALI TOUR, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

We had an amazing experience with our tour guide, Wayan, who was very friendly, professional and informative when we asked questions. We went to the waterfall and our guide was very willing to take photos and we dipped in the water. Then went to the temple where we were left to take our time exploring. There is a nice warung with a beautiful view on the steps leading to the temple. The coffee plantation was a great experience, where we learned about the process and had a tasting again with a lovely view. The tour was a very good experience, a lot of different things to be seen. It is of course quite touristic, like so many other things at Bali, but still nice. Wayan was our driver, and he was very kind, polite and funny. No complaints 👌
