Full description

This is a 2-hour experience in Ubud. It is run by Menjangan Snorkeling Trip & Diving, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Walking around Ubud means the river gorges and the terraces. The Campuhan ridge is the easy one, two kilometres on a paved path. The hidden canyon at Beji Guwang, in Sukawati, is a river walk through a narrow sandstone gorge with a guide, waist-deep in places, closed after heavy rain. Longer treks head into the hills above Sidemen or Munduk or up Batur and Agung before dawn. Mornings are the time for all of it: by 11:00 the humidity is heavy, and wet-season afternoons, November to March, bring rain from about two o'clock. Carry a litre of water per person and shoes with grip.

This was a really lovely trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting insights about the national park, which made the experience feel both informative and enjoyable. We were also lucky to see several black monkeys along the way, which was a highlight.

森の中の細い道や道なき道をトレッキングして黒いサルを見ることができたので良かった。生えている植物の利用についても教えてもらえた。ほかの生き物も見つけてもらえればもっと楽しめた。棘のある植物が多いので、引っかかりにくい服を着るほうがよい。
