This is a 2-hour experience from Uluwatu, built around Pandawa Beach. It is run by Wisata Bali Agung, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

The Bukit peninsula, the limestone block at the southern tip of Bali, holds Uluwatu temple and its Kecak, the cliff beaches, and the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, a 121-metre figure of Vishnu riding Garuda completed in 2018 after 28 years, which stands in a cultural park with dance performances through the day. The peninsula is dry, hot and mostly without shade, and distances between the beaches are longer than they look on a map, so a driver for the day is the usual way to see it. Sunset is at about 6:15 to 6:30 all year, and Uluwatu's cliff path fills for it.

Pickup is offered from Kuta, Kuta Selatan, North Kuta and Denpasar; the exact spot and time are agreed with Wisata Bali Agung once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

The driver was punctual and kind, but the organization was poor. My booking was for 5pm, but the organizer told me to start at noon due to “better wind conditions.” When I arrived, the local team didn’t even know I was coming. I was told to wait two hours for wind. They said the wind was best around 3pm for the last two days. Clearly a lack of communication obvious here and no time management.
