Full description
This is a 8-hour experience in Uluwatu, built around Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Melasti Beach and Uluwatu Temple. It is run by CV MUTIARA BALI TOURS, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu stands on a cliff about 70 metres above the sea at the south-western tip of the Bukit peninsula, one of Bali's six directional temples, associated with the eleventh-century priest Empu Kuturan. The Kecak fire dance is performed in an amphitheatre beside the temple every evening at about 6:00, timed so the sunset is behind the performers; it runs around an hour, the chanting is done by a circle of men with no instruments, and the story is the Ramayana. Sarongs are provided at the gate. The temple's monkeys are practised thieves of sunglasses and phones, so keep both in a bag while walking the cliff path.

It was very good. Lets start with the guide Agus. A very professional guide with a lot of knowledge and very helpful. Just as important he is a very funny guy. We laughed a lot. The stops are all great but my favorite was the Garuda Wisnu. What a beautifull statue in an amazing park.

Our day with Agus was really special. Agus brings the perfect mix of knowledge, passion and humour so we learned a lot while laughing a lot! His experience as a guide is outstanding too. He knew exactly where to take us for the best angles and I can't imagine how we would have found our way through the traffic, the crowds or the crafty monkeys without him. The day's programme was a great mix of cultural sights and experiences separated by a wonderful chance to recharge on Melasti Beach. Suksma Agus!
