Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Uluwatu, built around Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Tegallalang Rice Terrace and Uluwatu Temple. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tegallalang terraces are twenty minutes north of Ubud on the road to Kintamani, and they are working paddies fed by the subak irrigation system that UNESCO listed in 2012. Before about 8:30 in the morning the valley belongs to the farmers, the paddies are still wet from the night, and it is cool enough to walk down through the terraces and up the far side. By ten the coaches from the south arrive and the road above the terraces becomes a line of cafes, swings and photo platforms. There is a small entry fee at the viewpoint, and farmers along the paths through the fields ask for a few thousand rupiah to cross their land, which is normal. The swings are separate businesses with their own prices.

Our guide Andre was amazing. Very informative very engaging and very nice he was able to fulfil some of our side requests and help us take photos as well. The dance at the end of the trip was absolutely fascinating and phenomenal and I highly recommend. I will let people know who booked this trip that it will be a long day because of traffic we were picked up at 7:30 in the morning and we didn’t arrive back home until close to 9. But we absolutely had a fantastic day and the sites are incredibly historic and beautiful.
Even if it was a long trip, we visited 3 amazing landscapes and the driver, Komang Sparsa, did all possible for us to spend an unforgettable day in Bali, giving also lot of useful and interesting information.
Guides were very flexible and we had great conversation! Faced with too much traffic, they suggested another program and did their best to accommodate us. Just make sure to leave early in the day to get the full experience. Lots of love to our punk rock friends.
