Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Uluwatu. It is run by Big Tree Jewelry Classes, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Ubud is the centre of Bali's craft villages: Celuk for silver and gold work, Mas for woodcarving, Batuan for its style of painting, and Batubulan for stone. Craft classes take the same skills into a workshop with an instructor and take three to four hours, and you leave with the piece you made. Silver classes work in sterling silver with hand tools, saws and a torch; carving classes work in soft hibiscus or jackfruit wood; batik uses hot wax and dye on cotton and needs time to dry. The classes are hands-on rather than demonstrations, so wear something that can take dye or wax.
The price covers Silversmith instructor, 1-6 grams of silver for 1 jewelry design and Wi-fi access. It does not cover Transportation and Food and drinks, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Gunawan was amazing along the whole process, and everyone was very friendly, the process was around 1 hour and it was satisfying to actually do it yourself, there is a big selection of designs to choose from, definitely recommend as a great experience and souvenir in the process

The silver jewelry making activity was really enjoyable and interesting. I learnt so much about working with silver (which is my pref over gold). The staff were friendly and super helpful, esp since they accommodated me being half an hour late and cleaned all the silver jewelry I was wearing! It did go for less that the two hours but that was no biggie.

It was a real pleasure to attend on this programme. The team was friendly, helpful and expert on working with silver. They let us work as many times as we had ability to make that step and they helped when we reached a bit more difficult step. It was really easy to be part, our 9 year-old daughter also could enjoy the activity and made her own medal. Special thanks to Gun and Suarda who guide us during the process with care and kindness. All-in-all I can highly recommend this workshop.

My partner and I attended with our 5 year old son. We had an amazing time and our jewellery master was amazing, he also let our 5 year old participate. Well worth the money and it was in a fabulous location. We even had lunch in the restaurant after. 10/10 would recommend.
