This is a 2-hour experience in Uluwatu, built around Kecak Uluwatu. It is run by Trip Gotik - Bali Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Pura Luhur Uluwatu stands on a cliff about 70 metres above the sea at the south-western tip of the Bukit peninsula, one of Bali's six directional temples, associated with the eleventh-century priest Empu Kuturan. The Kecak fire dance is performed in an amphitheatre beside the temple every evening at about 6:00, timed so the sunset is behind the performers; it runs around an hour, the chanting is done by a circle of men with no instruments, and the story is the Ramayana. Sarongs are provided at the gate. The temple's monkeys are practised thieves of sunglasses and phones, so keep both in a bag while walking the cliff path.

We really enjoyed the experience. Sagita was so helpful the whole time and made sure we knew what we were doing which was a big help with a baby. Doing a private tour is definitely the way to go with little ones and we were still able to enjoy our time.
This was an unforgettable experience, I ended up going to Tanah Lot Temple because of my requested time instead of Uluwatu Temple, but it definitely did not disappoint!! Tanah Lot is unlike any temple I’ve seen before, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean, and I even was fortunate enough to touch the Holy Snake, and be blessed by a priest, for good luck!! My tour guide, Dek, was very knowledgeable, and helped me take some great pictures, so I could have wonderful memories of my experience!! And, in the evening, I went to the original Kecak Dance, with a stunning Balinese coastal sunset back
Our guide was really friendly and took great photos of us + saved a few other tourists belonging from the monkeys. He also had heaps of information as a local who actually visits the temple to pray himself that he shared with us patiently and kindly (even with heaps of questions) ☺️ definitely recommend!

Our guide Made was amazing, perfect English, great stories for the temple and information about the religion in general, protected us very effectively from the monkeys (😂) and had great time with him!! Totally recommended!!
Wayan was amazing! The monkeys are intimidating so it gave us reassurance having a guide. He also took pictures then sent them on WhatsApp so we didnt have to worry about monkeys grabbing our phones. Wayan was great with our daughter and really wanted to make sure we had the best day. Thank you!
