Jatiluwih e la piu grande distesa di risaie terrazzate di Bali, circa 600 ettari sui versanti meridionali del Monte Batukaru, nella regione di Tabanan, ed e la vetrina del sistema di irrigazione subak che l'UNESCO ha inserito nella lista nel 2012. A differenza di Tegallalang, qui c'e spazio per camminare un'ora o due su sentieri segnalati tra i campi senza traffico o altalene, e le terrazze sono larghe e pianeggianti piuttosto che scoscese. Il riso viene piantato a cicli, quindi i campi sono di un verde brillante per alcuni mesi e stoppie tagliate per altri; chiedi all'operatore in che fase si trovano se le foto ti interessano. Le mattine sono piu limpide, e le nuvole tendono ad accumularsi sul Batukaru dopo mezzogiorno.

This was my best day in Bali so far!! Eddy was the guide…. And I don’t even have enough words to express how amazing he was! I wish I could just clone him for all of my trips! The places we went were spectacular and magical, and Eddy filled in so many of the blanks with history and stories…! Anyway… Amazing amazing amazing Tour… Choose this one and I’m not sure how it works but if you get a chance to choose your guys… Do it!
The tour was perfectly organised and we had plenty of time at every stop. Our guide, Tawan, was the perfect companion for the tour and provided us with fascinating details and his knowledge of this beautiful country and its people. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would do it all again in a heartbeat.
Tia was a really good guide, she adapted the tour when we wishes to do something else. the tour itslef is really interesting.
Did the tour with Indah, (also booked the extra Banyumala —> recommend), she made the tour enjoyable and answered any questions, gave further recommendations, etc. great guide and great tour. She managed that both ulundanu beratan and Banyumala we were early enough to not have too many people there. Overall: good day tour, can recommend
