Full description

This is a 8-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Bus/coach, Hiroshima Castle and Atomic Bomb Dome. It is run by H.I.S. Co Ltd(TIC), an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers Air-conditioned bus, Entry fee to the Itsukushima Shrine, Entry fee to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, Miyajima Island ferry return ticket and Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki lunch. It does not cover Hotel pickup and drop off and Drinks, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

広島駅新幹線口広場バス乗降場. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with H.I.S. Co Ltd(TIC) before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

The trip was great! Our guide Takane was very informative, easy going n funny. The oyster bread, lemon drink and maple cookies he recommended were so delicious at Miyajima. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoy the Okonomiyaki better than the ones we had in Tokyo. I will for sure book again with your company. Thank you for a great experience in Hiroshima n Miyajima 🙏

Joe was an excellent guide. He provided lots of important information and gave a detailed insight into the history of Hiroshima and the life of people in the aftermath of the bomb. A wonderful, moving day which was well organised.

This day trip is an absolute must do when visiting Hiroshima. Our tour guide Joe San was super informative and it was touching to hear how passionate he is about the city he and his family come from and live (Joe San also gifted each group a paper crane, made by his wife which was so appreciated!) The tour was really well planned out and we felt really good value for money too. All in all a fabulous trip that shouldn’t be missed.

This was my first time booking a tour and it was great! Takane was a great guide. He spoke a lot, which I'm not used to, but everything was relevant and informative. He also added anecdotes from his personal experiences or that of his family which made everything more real. His English was great and easily understanable. He is also very knoweldgeable regarding the city. The driver Takashi (I think, sorry) was a safe driver and took great care of us! The assistant, Minami (I think, sorry), was also very kind and helped a lot during the trip. Having free time to explore certain areas by ourselve

This was the best trip in the whole time I have been in Japan I reckon, I have done Mt Fuji, Echigo Yazawa skiing, Sumos wrestling, Sky tower, Disneyland, and Teamlabs planets loved the lot but this one topped them all.

The tour took us to the most important sites in Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Our tour guides gave us a wealth of information and, more importantly, ample time to explore the venues on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, learning and visiting the sites, and paying respect to the victims of the bombing.

Very good day trip. Our guide’s knowledge was excellent. The museum was busy so to read all the information you need longer than the time allocated. The balance of the day worked well with A-bomb dome and museum in the morning a delicious lunch then a trip to Miyajima. Highly recommend especially if you only have one full day in Hiroshima .

A well paced day trip. Using a bus made a huge difference in the summer heat. Our guide Joe was excellent. He was knowledgeable and engaging, and made everyone in the group feel included. The Hiroshima Peace Museum was definitely a highlight of our two week trip to Japan.

This was a wonderful / informative / introspective day trip. Seeing the A-bomb dome and museum was a solemn experience. The trip to Miyajima was wonderful! The tori gate and shrine were picturesque! Our guide (Tom san) was very deliberate and made every effort to give us good information. Really appreciated all his help throughout the day! The okonomiyaki lunch in the afternoon was an interesting experience! We loved it. The trip ended with paper peace planes / swans. A wonderful (poignant) experience that we will cherish for many years to come!
