Full description
This is a 6.5-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Train, Ferry and Miyajima. It is run by Cornwall Ltd, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.
The price covers guided tour and Admission fees. It does not cover Meals and Transportation, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
広島駅 中央口 みどりの窓口. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Cornwall Ltd before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Hayato-San was an excellent guide! He brought the area to life with his explanation of the history, his knowledge second to none. He is passionate about Hiroshima and it came out during the trip with him. Thanks Hayato-San!
As a Hiroshima local Hiro was knowledgeable about the area and provided a nice and relaxed tour for us to enjoy. He shared stories of his family background and the impact that the war had in an authentic and open way which was very appreciated. Would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning more about the events in Hiroshima
Mariko our guide for the day was early at our meeting place & introduced herself & immediately addressed us all by our names, she had everything organised & was full of knowledge about the trip we had chosen. Mariko was very friendly & allowed us enough time to experience the sites without being rushed like many other tour groups,we thoroughly recommend Mariko.
Mariko was amazing - she is from Hiroshima and knew everything. I really enjoyed my day .
Daniel was an exemplary guide. His knowledge of the history of Miyajima and Hiroshima was outstanding. His English language skill perfect. It was very enjoyable to spend the day with him and our 2 companions. Thank you so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mariko was our guide who is from Hiroshima herself and she was fantastic! We left relatively early and ended at a reasonable time. Plenty of free time to try food, take photos, and she’s open to any and all questions. It was great learning from her as well as the full history of the city. Highly recommend it.
Lyna was a great guide very knowledgeable and friendly. Very easy to understand and her suggestion of street food and where and what to eat was excellent. Thoroughly recommend Lyna as a tour guide and tour.
This was the absolutely the best tour. Mariko is the wonderful guide. So much knowledge and excellent communication.
Our guide Hayoto was great. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the site we visited perfectly. The tour was perfect for what we wanted to see without any hassle.
Mariko was an absolute gem of our tour! Her vibrant energy, deep expertise, and exceptionally swift communication made our entire experience seamless and unforgettable. We truly could not have asked for a better guide she’s a rare find!
Went down to Miyajima first and saw the dear and temple. Our guide knew the history have been born in the area. Came back to the ferry via the shops and had oysters lemon beer and a few other bits. Definitely eat while you are here the variety and flavors are worth it. Back on the ferry and tram to Hiroshima memorial and museum. Rang the bell at peace park. Well paced day and our guide was excellent.
I have trouble with directions, but Hayato was able to message me and met me quickly. He provided an incredibly positive and memorable experience that should be shared with as many people as possible. Miyajima is a unique shrine with a lot to offer from the friendly deer, Tori gate, food, shopping, beach, and beautiful, intelligent architecture. Hayato shared his perspective and insight on the rich history in Hiroshima. There is dark history with an emphasis on hope and resilience. We are responsible for creating and maintaining peace. I hope to return with my husband and share the deep and me
