Full description

This is a 6-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Train, Ferry and Itsukushima Floating Torii Gate. It is run by Evergrove, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers guide and Admission fee. It does not cover Transportation fee and Food and drinks, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

7-Eleven+Heart-in JR Shiroshima Station Local lines. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Evergrove before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Yu was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Made a very interesting and enjoyable day. We would not have done as much or learned extra details without her. Can not recommend Yu highly enough.

Our guide Yu was very friendly and knowledgeable, she guided us through Miyajima while sharing both historical and religious facts. The free time of one hour on Miyajima island was more than enough to eat at a local shop and also do some shopping. She then guided us through the Peace Park Memorial and shared both personal and historical anecdotes. She was very kind and also helped us by recommending other things to do after the tour ended. Overall a very lovely tour with an amazing guide.

Our Tour guide, Yu, sent a reminder message the day before with when and where to meet, and what she'd be wearing so we could recognise her. On the day, it ended up being just my mum and I as the group and she helped us get our own Suica cards to use all throughout Japan. Yu was very polite, friendly and helpful. Taking us to Miyajima, she explained clearly how the day would pan out, timings and answered any questions we had. Conversations were educational, open and honest, and genuinely such a really fun day! She went at our pace and gave us plenty of time to take pictures and go shopping. Go

Yu was an incredible tour guide for my wife and I. She was very detailed in all her explanations about all the spots we visited. She made it interesting and kept us captivated the entire time, pointing out details most people would never know. The best tour we have had so far in Japan, if you are in Hiroshima you must book this tour with her!! Can’t wait to come back and thank you for everything!!

Our guide, Yu, was very organized and got us through the day despite the heavy rain. Miyajima island was actually beautiful under the rain and clouds, which made the floating shrine appear even more mystical and sacred. We also got to interact with several deers wandering around. Finally, our visit of the Hiroshima Peace Park, Museum, and the personal stories Yu shared were really poignant and will stay with us beyond this trip. This was well worth the experience!

Late March to early April for cherry blossom (2026 full bloom landed around March 29-31), or October-November for autumn color and oyster season. August 6 brings the Peace Memorial Ceremony — moving, but the city is at its most crowded. See our best time to visit Hiroshima guide.

Plan 2-3 hours for the park and museum together — the museum is just ¥200 and opens from 7:30 AM. Etiquette, monuments, and timing tips are in our Peace Memorial Park guide.
The torii appears to float at tide levels above ~250cm, and you can walk out to its base below ~100cm — a single day often offers both. Check tide tables before you go; the full trick is in our Miyajima Island guide.
Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki — layered, not mixed like Osaka's, with soba inside — plus winter oysters and momiji manju on Miyajima. Okonomimura's 24 stalls are the classic first stop. See the Hiroshima food guide.
Miyajima is the essential one; beyond it, Iwakuni's Kintai Bridge and Okunoshima (Rabbit Island) are both doable by train. Honest rankings and logistics in our Hiroshima day trips guide.
