Full description

This is a 8-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Train, Bus/coach and Ferry. It is run by AMIGO TOURS JAPAN GK, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers Round-trip bullet train tickets from Kyoto to Hiroshima, Ferry ride to Miyajima Island and Admission to the Itsukushima Shrine. It does not cover Meals and Hotel pickup and drop-off, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

HIROSHIMA STATION. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with AMIGO TOURS JAPAN GK before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Hey, my day started with the bullet train experience! Like that I did that once in my life. I was then welcomed by Angeles and Oe-san, beautiful smiles and energy. Cannot believe how Angeles could feed us history without looking at any documents. Loved the island visit, maybe cutting by 30-45 min would leave a bit more time For Hiroshima museums. The memorial site was humbling, sacred, emotional. Very solonel moment. Many years ago being in Poland for work, I was by accident on Sept 1 on the site WW2 start of the war. Hiroshima being almost the end of war. Chilling! I am full of gratitude!🥰

This was the favorite things I've done in 2 weeks in Japan. Cesar and Shimoie San were fantastic. Both the island and the Hiroshima peace memorial were amzing. I would not have thought to go to the Miyajima island, but I'm so glad I did! Thank you!

The day has been insightful, emotional, and important to comprehend the complete destruction of Hiroshima. The memorial is a historically significant tribute to all those that lost their lives or suffered for the rest of their days. Yet the grounds and the memorial now radiate hope and a message “never again”. It is wise to have Miyajima first as it is a joyful, lovely, epicurean delight. Our guide Angeles is a commensurate professional, seamlessly moving between languages and handling all of the participants with joy. Her pathos and historical knowledge made this one of the most meaningful ex

We travelled from Kyoto to Hiroshima. The agency sent us the tickets via QR-Code in time, so we could easily get access to the train. They prescribed the meeting point very well. When we arrived in Hiroshima we had enough time to find our group. Our guide Cesar and our driver Kitta were both great. Cesar ansered all our questions and he took care for our train tickets back to Kyoto in the evening. He showed us the most important places and informed us well. When I have one little improvement advice it is the time we had on our own in the Hiroshima museum was a little bit too short. All in all
