Full description

This is a 8-hour experience in Hiroshima. It is run by Japan Guide Agency, JGA Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers Private tour, Licensed local guide, Pickup from your accommodation on foot and Walking tour. It does not cover Food and drinks, Any entrance fees, Transportation to/from the meeting point and Public/private transportation fee during the tour, so budget for those separately. Our visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in the afternoon was, without question, one of the most powerful experiences I’ve ever had. The museum is both exceptional and deeply moving—at times genuinely horrifying—but in a way that stays with you long after you leave. It’s something everyone should experience at least once. Nori was an outstanding guide. Incredibly knowledgeable, but never overwhelming—he had a real sense of timing, sharing insights at just the right moments to let the experience breathe. He was thoughtful, polite, and clearly passionate about helping us understand not just th

Our guide Kazuhisha To was simply tremendous!! I booked our tour several weeks in advance and he provided a very detailed agenda that hit all the top spots in Hiroshima and Miyajima. He took us to lunch at one of HIS favorite spots for Okonomiyaki and it was fabulous. He was attentive to all our needs and provided very informative and interesting commentary throughout our trip. To (pronounced toe) was a fabulous guide and he will ensure that you have a tremendous day. We felt so lucky to have met him and spend our time in Hiroshima with him. HE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by our group of 6 from Bost

Last weekend we had a full day with Kazuhisa To exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. To was great with communication leading up to the day and made us feel very comfortable with a full itinerary provided before we arrived. The day was well thought out and covered everything we wanted to see in the area. To was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his city and its history. He was friendly and easy to spend the day with, and booked us a beautiful place for lunch. We are so thankful to have had such a wonderful day! Thank you To!

Sei was one of the best guides we have ever had. We really enjoyed our time with him. He is very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and even arranged a private 30-min documentary to watch. Our trip to miyajima was wonderful as well. We are so glad we were able to make this day trip work. Highly recommend this emotional and moving trip.

Akie was an amazing guide. Our tour of Miyajima and Hiroshima was EXACTLY what we wanted. She met us right as we got off our train, and made sure our day covered every aspect of what we wanted to see. She knew all the ins and outs of where to go when so we could optimize our visits. She provided loads of interesting information about Itsukushima Shrine, made sure we could see it at high tide and lower tide (so cool). She made sure we saw places in Hiroshima that we would have definitely missed had we gone alone. We couldn't have had a better time.
