History and Evening Walk in Hiroshima
Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Hiroshima. It is run by M2N Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.
The price covers Two-hour walking tour, local guide, Visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Stories and testimonies from atomic bomb victims and Visit to significant monuments including Atomic Bomb Dome. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
M2N Tours sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with M2N Tours before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
Our guide, Saki, was wonderful. She explained everything in a very calm way. She told stories about the bomb and the life after and she could really passionate our 2 teenagers and us! An evening tour is a very nice way to learn about Hiroshima. This is without doubt one of the highlights of our Japan journey.
So glad we booked this tour! We had already been to the museum, but Camille added so much more local context to the history and stories of local experiences. We wouldn’t have gained the same depth of experience if we had wandered the peace park ourselves. She really engaged our teenagers, and took the time to talk to them even though it was a large group. The evening tour was much quieter than groups we saw going around in the middle of the day.
Anna was very knowledgeable and accomodating. I really enjoyed the walk and would, totally recommend the night tour over day. Zero crowds and the memorial lighting added to the emotional mood of the area - not to mention the photography.
Very interesting and emotive. Our guide, Martin was very approachable and knowledgeable
I loved this tour and can highly recommend it! Camille gave us a lot of insights on Hiroshima‘s history and the events around the A-bomb. It was for sure a deeply moving and emotional experience getting to know all the details about the historical events. Camille herself is such a fantastic tour guide, incredibly friendly and really great in interacting with her customers. Thank you Camille :)
Cva was very knowledgeable in the history of Hiroshima. Thank you
We really enjoyed our tour of Hiroshima Peace Park with our guide Cva. He showed us all the important places connected to the atomic bomb and shared touching and informative stories along the way. Even though it was just the two of us, it felt super comfortable — relaxed but still very professional. What made it even more special was how clearly he shared the park’s message: that Hiroshima stands for peace. He helped us understand how the city, its people, and its government continue to work toward a peaceful future for everyone. A meaningful and memorable experience — thank you, Cva!
Cva was friendly and very informative. Gave very detailed explanations and answered all questions
We had an amazing tour with our entertaining tour guide Cva. Highly recommended activity to grasp additional aspects of Hiroshima’s history.
The tour was informative and whilst Camille was new in the role she provided so much information about Hiroshima and the events surrounding the A bomb in 1945. Camille had a colleague with her and together they were able to answer all of our questions and gave detailed explanations of the various memorials and statues in the Peace Park. We enjoyed the slightly quieter atmosphere in the Park in the evening. 2 hours was just about the right amount of time and the tour was good value for money. Would thoroughly recommend.
Cva is an enthusiastic guide, full of knowledge on Hiroshima and Japan. The tour was informative and enjoyed by all! Great energy, 100% recommend!
An excellent tour provided by our great guide Cva. He is very knowledgeable and engaging about the history of Hiroshima and Japan. Would highly recommend
