Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Gates of Peace, Mother and Baby in the Storm and Prayer Fountain. It is run by M2N Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.
The price covers Guided Tour. It does not cover Food, Entrance Ticket for the museum and Tips/gratuity, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Gates of Peace. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with M2N Tours before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Really enjoyed our tour, I'm very happy we've decide to book it instead of exploring on our own. The guide was very friendly and shared the insights in an engaging way, answered all the questions and ensured our understanding. The topic of the Hiroshima tragedy and its commitment to peace is not easy, and I definitely recommend getting a knowledgeable guide. thank you for a great tour!
It was an experience that will keep being remembered. Our guide Camille was very good
Camille was an excellent tour guide and provided us with a very thorough tour of the sites relating to the atom bomb attack and consequences. She was flexible and adapted our tour to our interests.
Aze tried very hard to produce the best experience and refused to be defeated by the terrible weather. Full marks for commitment and energy. Very informative.
This activity is amazing and definitely a MUST book! Kana is an amazing tour guide, who walks you to all the significant spots and explains them all in detail. She even created paper cranes for us to donate!
We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Nisa. As it was a private tour Nisa was able to adjust her plan to shelter us from the rain but still managed to take us all around the Peace Park.
Khan was an excellent guide, very thorough and knowledgeable about the history of the area. He gave us important context about the various statues and memorials in the peace park that we would otherwise have missed. We also got access to the museum which, although naturally a sobering experience, also carried a beautiful and hopeful message for the future. I thoroughly recommend this activity.
We enjoyed our tour with Cva. He was knowledgeable and made our tour an extremely memorable experience.
Aya’s local, historical & personal perspective was fascinating & informative. We learnt so much from Aya’s narrative.
Our guide’s knowledge of the history was amazing and gave us an understanding we otherwise might not of had.
Ali was knowledgeable and informative. He brought the tragedy of the bombing of Hiroshima to life.
This tour was conducted respectfully but with a lot of information given about the events that occurred in Hiroshima 80yrs ago with the atomic bombing. Our guide was really sweet and polite and explained everything really well. We learnt so much and saw so much despite the rain!!
