This is a 1.5-hour experience in Hiroshima. It is run by sketch, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

Een ontzettend leuke en vooral andersoortige activiteit in Japan. Wij zijn dol op kleine breinoefeningen, en het leren van rekenmethode soroban voelde op een positieve manier als een goede training voor jouw brein. Het kalifraferen was betrekkelijk kort, maar lang genoeg om een kanji naar keuze te leren. Én je hebt een zelfgemaakte souvenir!

The Host was lovely but her English wasn't very good and we did struggle to communicate. The abacus experience was like being at school with us being given a sheet of sums to do, but not much explanation was given on how to use the japanese abacus. The calligraphy part of the class was quite short and again not much of an explanation was given on how to hold the brush and follow the technique. As I say the host was lovely but there would need to be much more explanation provided and communication

Es war eine tolle Erfahrung! Die Zeit verging super schnell und es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht Abakus und Kalligrafie auszuprobieren. Ich wurde super liebevoll angeleitet! Gerne hätte ich noch mehr zum Hintergrund erfahren, was leider durch die Sprachbarriere nicht so easy war. Ich würde den Kurs wieder buchen!

on a vécu un super moment en famille dans cet atelier. notre professeur du jour est une femme adorable, super gentille et très drôle! On repart en sachant utiliser le soroban, avoir fait de la calligraphie et avec des petits cadeaux mais surtout avec de super souvenirs de ce moment passé ensemble. je recommande à 100%
