Right from the start our tour guide, Yuka was incredibly welcoming and professionally introduced us to the Hiroshima city. Had a really good time learning about Hiroshimas history - from Itsukushima Shrine and the Daishoin Temple, to 1945’s history. People who want to see Hiroshima from a very friendly locals perspective should definitely book this!

Masa is a phenomenal guide. Not only was she extremely kind, but she navigated us easily through the various sites and shared a ton of information about the different shrines, temples, and local history throughout the day. Given that she’s a second generation Hiroshima survivor, we loved hearing her personal and familial stories when we stopped to see the Peace Park Memorial and Museum. At the end, she gave us a recommendation for a local Okonomiyaki place that was absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend touring with Masa.

Excellent activity, Yuka made our experience unique. She shared a lot of important information about Hiroshima, its culture, food, temples, and shrines. On the other hand, the experience of being in this place where one of the worst tragedies of humanity occurred, reading testimonies, seeing images and remains of buildings, clothes, toys, etc., gives you goosebumps. With Yuka's guidance, we were able to understand even more about the scope of what happened. Yuka also took us to a restaurant where we could eat Okonomiyaki, a traditional Hiroshima dish. It was delicious. The tour doesn't include transportation, but I recommend spending a little more to take the fast boat that gets you to Miyajima Island in 40 minutes. You make much better use of your time. Thank you so much Yuka. It was a pleasure to meet you and have the opportunity to receive all your knowledge and experiences.

We enjoyed our day tour with Yuka! She was so friendly and shared many things about the places we visited and accommodated our request to customize with a stop at Hiroshima castle. Having a personal guide for a tour was great as we did not have to worry on how to get from one place to the next and she always checked in on us and how we were doing. She also knew the best places for photo opportunities and we were able to capture great photos for our memories.

We had the absolute best day with Masa, she was truly incredible! From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease travelling together. Her English is flawless, her knowledge of Hiroshima and Miyajima is outstanding, and her gentle, thoughtful care made every moment flow perfectly. She guided us seamlessly through trains, ferries, and sights, sharing fascinating stories and local insights we’d never have discovered on our own. Masa went above and beyond to make the day effortless, meaningful, and full of wonderful memories. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to absolutely anyone visiting Japan and are already planning another tour with her in the future!

We had a first class local guide in Masayo Kobayashi (Masa). Who started our trip with Miyajima Island such that we could see the famous O-Torii Gate floating at high tide., then exploring the Island before taking the river boat directly to the Peace Memorials. Her personal insight to the history and ramifications of the dreadful event on 6th August 1945 were highly beneficial to our understanding and reflected the emotion which will never be allowed to fade. A truly wonderful day and highly educational.
