Full description

This is a 8-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Train, Bus/coach and Ferry. It is run by AMIGO TOURS JAPAN GK, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers Round-trip Shinkansen tickets from Osaka, Bilingual guide in Spanish and English, Transportation from the meeting point, Ferry ride to Miyajima and Admission to the Itsukushima Shrine. It does not cover Lunch, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

HIROSHIMA STATION. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with AMIGO TOURS JAPAN GK before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

It was very well organized from the beginning til the end. Also our guide Angeles was excellent, very helpful and gave us a lot of insights and useful information about places we visited. The only one negative thing from my point of view was the fact that admission fee for the museum of Hiroshima A-bomb victims wasn’t included into the whole price. As for me it was very small amount and on the other hand every participant should be involved into acknowledging with this very sad mankind history.

Angeles was my guide for the tour. what can I say, what a great day I had. Angeles was so passionate about the Island of Miyajima, she gave us the history, the culture and some interesting information about the Island. Her recommendations were spot on. Then we went to Hiroshima, Wow! That was so amazing, I didn't think that I would get that emotional. Again Angeles was passionate about the history of this place. Her information was spectacular. I have come away from a very poignant area with more knowledge, more understanding and more empathy, that was because of Angeles, Thank you 😊 Also grea

Heli and Shimo took good care of us. We had plenty of time at both locations and the day was quite relaxed. It was interesting to learn about the history of Hiroshima from Heli.

The trip was wonderful. Caesar is an excellent and patient guide, translating both into Spanish and English. Both Miyajima and Hiroshima were amazing and touched my heart. Also thumbs up to our driver Ito who kept the bus cool on a very very warm day.

Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki — layered, not mixed like Osaka's, with soba inside — plus winter oysters and momiji manju on Miyajima. Okonomimura's 24 stalls are the classic first stop. See the Hiroshima food guide.
