Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

Gordon was a very good guide and took us to a place that had yummy okonomiyaki. He also took us to a whiskey bar which we would never had found ourselves. Gordon was great fun and is also going the extra mile to find a lost jacket

Tres bien avec Gordon comme guide qui a su s'adapter a nos demandes et nous a accompagné sur un restaurant d'okonomiyakis traditionnel. Super explications sur l'histoire de ce plat et la région d'Hiroshima. Puis petit tour sur Hondori et le quartier. Merci Gordon pour ta bienveillance.
