Full description

This is a 1.5-hour experience in Hiroshima. It is run by Impression LLC., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

日本、〒730-0011 広島県広島市中区基町11−地下街100. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Impression LLC. before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

This workshop was amazing. I can’t believe how we were able to learn to play a song and learn to read the music for Koto in one hour. The teacher is excellent, he explains everything so clearly and he is encouraging. We were also happy because they allowed us to change our time to be more convenient for us. It was so much fun playing in tandem with a really talented koto player. I also enjoyed the pineapple juice lol.

I played koto for the first time in my life, and it was an incredible experience! My instructor explained how to play the koto perfectly, and at the end of the session we played a piece together, which made it even more unforgettable.

We would have liked the opportunity to take a slightly longer class to become more familiar with the instrument. Otherwise, everything was fine, the activity was interesting and the teacher friendly.

Vincent was an excellent teacher who explained the history of the koto before taking us through various exercises, building up to a group performance of a beautiful piece he had composed. A real highlight of our trip to Japan, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to engage with the musical culture

It was so cool to learn this instrument and actually learn a original song from the teacher from scratch. To see the difference in the instruments and see how quickly you can learn to play a beautiful song was Amazing. Would recommend it anytime and would always come back for more lessons
