Full description

This is a 2-hour experience in Hiroshima, built around Gates of Peace, Hiroshima Victims Memorial Cenotaph and Korean Atomic Bomb Victims Cenotaph. It is run by F and five., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park sits on the ground beneath the point where the bomb detonated at 8:15 on 6 August 1945. The A-Bomb Dome, the skeleton of the industrial promotion hall, was left as it stood; the Peace Memorial Museum reopened in 2019 after a redesign and takes about two hours, and is not for young children. The Children's Peace Monument is hung with paper cranes sent from around the world. Hiroshima's own food is okonomiyaki layered with noodles, eaten at counters in Okonomimura. Miyajima is 40 minutes away and most visitors combine the two in one day.

The price covers Private guide, Entrance in Peace Memorial Museum, Hidden Gems and Museum Tickets. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

1-2 Nakajimachō, Naka Ward, Hiroshima, 730-0811, Japan. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with F and five. before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

The tour was great and Maria was awesome! She added great insights and had good commentary about Hiroshima’s past and present history. We were lucky to catch a school group singing the peace song at the Sadaki statue and got to meet with the Hiroshima survivor who can often be found at the Abomb dome. Would recommend!

Top-tier tour! We had a wonderful walking tour with Ihsan around the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Ihsan was very professional and has a wealth of knowledge about Japan’s history, culture, and customs. We highly recommend this company and look forward to using their services again. Thank you for a great experience.

Maria is an amazing guide, knows a lot of details about Hiroshima’s past and present and is able to tell stories a way that we couldn‘t stop listening to her. The tour is of perfect length and so interesting, including the museum. We were lucky to even have a private tour. What an afternoon! Thank you, Maria. I hope many more visitors can listen to these stories, remember the past and make the future a better place.

We loved the tour. Maria was very informative and was happy to answer all our questions. we weren't rushed at all and saw all the highlights of the area. We got a lot more out of the visit than we would have done walking around ourselves. We also really enjoyed her recommendation for place to get okonomiyaki for lunch too! We have no hesitation in recommending Maria and this Hiroshima tour.

We had a really great tour with Maria. It was very insightful and we got to learn the story of Hiroshima and the atomic bomb step by step following related places in the memorial. Maria answered all our questions and took great care of the group. I highly recommend booking the tour with her :)

Everything was wonderful! We missed our first train from Osaka, and Maria was nice enough to wait for us and adjust the schedule accordingly. She was also very accommodating with my mother who is in a wheelchair, and she was extremely informative.

Ali was excellent and I cant thank him enough. He took the time to get to know us and talk about each part of the park. He didnt rush us and let us ask plenty of questions and explore each area of the park and museum. For the quality of the tour and the time he spent with us, it was fantastic value.

I really enjoyed this private tour. Ihsan is a passionate and knowledgeable guide so the tour was very interesting. I learned a lot and I had a great time. As this was a private tour we had the opportunity to change a bit the initial itinerary to fit and answer my questions and curiosity. I recommend such tour. Thank you Ihsan.

Our guide was informative and really enthusiastic about telling the history. It rained the whole time but that did not dampen the enthusiasm and our tour was great. It was well structured but had enough flexibility for us to ask questions and deviate a little to suit our needs. So glad we did this.
