2-Day Private Mt. Fuji, Kawaguchiko and Hakone Journey
Full description
This is a 2-day experience from Mount Fuji, built around Arakurayama Sengen Park, Oshino Hakkai and Lake Kawaguchi. It is run by Kansai Holiday, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Mount Fuji is 3,776 metres, Japan's highest mountain and an active volcano that last erupted in 1707. Day tours from Tokyo go to the Fuji Five Lakes on its north side, about two hours away: Lake Kawaguchiko for the classic reflection view, Oshino Hakkai's spring-fed ponds, the Chureito Pagoda above Fujiyoshida with the mountain behind it, and often the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station at 2,300 metres when the road is open, roughly April to November. The summit is climbable only in July and August. Fuji is visible on roughly a third of days and most often in winter mornings; from June to September it is hidden in cloud more often than not, and no operator can promise the view, so the lakes and the pagoda are planned as worth the day on their own.
The price covers Hotel pickup and drop-off within the selected Tokyo service, 2-Day private sightseeing service, Air-conditioned private vehicle, driver-guide and Basic sightseeing assistance and route guidance. It does not cover Admission tickets, Meals and drinks, Personal expenses and Accommodation, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Hotel pickup in Mount Fuji. Kansai Holiday confirms your pickup time and the exact spot once the booking is in. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Kansai Holiday before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Arakurayama Sengen Park
Climbing the 398 steps, you can see the classic view of the vermilion five-story pagoda and Mount Fuji side by side, a view that is known as "a postcard-worthy view in Japan".
Oshino Hakkai
Eight springs, formed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji and filtered underground for decades, are crystal clear and symbolize the faith in Mount Fuji and the bounty of nature.
Lake Kawaguchi
The most easily accessible of the Fuji Five Lakes, it offers panoramic views of the lake and mountains via cable car and is also one of the best spots to admire the "inverted Fuji" reflection.
Gotemba Premium Outlets
One of the largest outlet malls in Japan, with about 210 stores, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Fuji while shopping.
Lake Ashi
Hakone's most representative crater lake. Taking a ride on a vintage pirate ship across the lake offers a classic view of Mount Fuji and the red torii gate of Hakone Shrine.
