Full description

This is a 10-hour experience from Mount Fuji, built around Bus/coach, Mt. Fuji 5th Station and Oshino Hakkai. It is run by Lucky Day Travel, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Mount Fuji is 3,776 metres, Japan's highest mountain and an active volcano that last erupted in 1707. Day tours from Tokyo go to the Fuji Five Lakes on its north side, about two hours away: Lake Kawaguchiko for the classic reflection view, Oshino Hakkai's spring-fed ponds, the Chureito Pagoda above Fujiyoshida with the mountain behind it, and often the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station at 2,300 metres when the road is open, roughly April to November. The summit is climbable only in July and August. Fuji is visible on roughly a third of days and most often in winter mornings; from June to September it is hidden in cloud more often than not, and no operator can promise the view, so the lakes and the pagoda are planned as worth the day on their own.

The price covers Round-trip transportation from Tokyo, Air-conditioned tourist coach, Multilingual tour guide, Mt. Fuji Fifth Station Entry Fee and All taxes. It does not cover Meals, Personal expenses and Ticket for the onsen, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Lucky Day Travel sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Lucky Day Travel before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Anna the guide has been very helpful, 5 stars. Maybe just some small things to be adjusted in the way to manage (i.e. too many shops in my opinion) , bu at the end it has been a very good trip, in particular the onsen which was amazing !

The day trip was amazing! Our guide Tony was very informative and punctual with time. We managed to see Mt Fuji on a day when it was expected not to be seen! I would recommend bringing your own lunch because they take you to their restaurant/souvenir shop, which is priced between 2000+ Yen per meal. The shopping outlets are good, there is a reasonable amount of time to explore. Additionally, you could do the Onsens for 1 hour then followed by an 1 hour of the shopping.

Wayne was an amazing lead!! This was an excellent tour! Wayne was incredibly easy to find and he made sure everything was seamless from start to finish. He clearly explained the itinerary, how lunch worked, and even helped me navigate to and from the onsen from the outlet mall. Thank you for such a memorable experience! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is short on time and wants to check the base of Mount Fuji off their bucket list while also enjoying a relaxing onsen experience.

Nobody can promise it. Fuji is clear on roughly a third of days, most often on winter mornings, and from June to September it is in cloud more often than not. The tour runs regardless and the lakes, the pagoda and the ropeway are planned to be worth the day without the summit. There is no refund for cloud.
We confirm your booking with the operator before we treat it as final, and we need at least one day's notice. Once it is confirmed you get the meeting point, the time and a contact number for the day. If the operator cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Only during the official season, roughly early July to early September — exact dates are announced each year per route. Outside it the mountain huts close, and climbing becomes a serious mountaineering proposition rather than a hike. A mandatory climbing fee and a daily cap now apply on the Yoshida route, with the other routes following. Full detail in our guide to climbing Mount Fuji.
Counterintuitively, winter — the cold, dry air gives the clearest views, while humid summer haze often hides the mountain entirely. That means the climbing season is also the worst viewing season. Where and when to look is covered in our Mount Fuji viewpoints guide.
An Odakyu pass covering the whole Hakone loop — Tozan railway, cable car, ropeway, Lake Ashi boats and buses — for less than buying the legs separately. How the loop works and which direction to travel it is in getting around Hakone.
It varies. Many traditional baths still refuse tattoos, some now allow them with cover stickers, and a private bath (kashikiri) is the reliable workaround. Bathing etiquette and how to find tattoo-friendly options are in our Hakone onsen guide.
It was listed in 2013 for its influence on art, literature and pilgrimage — not for its geology. That is why the listing includes places like Oshino Hakkai and the Sengen shrines, not just the peak itself. Background in our climbing Mount Fuji guide.
Two days lets you do the loop without rushing and still soak properly in an onsen — a single day works but means moving constantly. Our Hakone 2-day itinerary maps it out hour by hour.
Most Hakone and Mt. Fuji private tours here are priced for the whole party, not per traveller — the operator is providing a vehicle and a guide, so a group of four pays the same as a couple. The exceptions are the group summit climbs, which are genuinely per person. Each tour page states which model applies.
