Full description

This is a 10-hour experience from Mount Fuji, built around Arakurayama Sengen Park, Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine and Chureito Pagoda. It is run by Tour Easy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Mount Fuji is 3,776 metres, Japan's highest mountain and an active volcano that last erupted in 1707. Day tours from Tokyo go to the Fuji Five Lakes on its north side, about two hours away: Lake Kawaguchiko for the classic reflection view, Oshino Hakkai's spring-fed ponds, the Chureito Pagoda above Fujiyoshida with the mountain behind it, and often the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station at 2,300 metres when the road is open, roughly April to November. The summit is climbable only in July and August. Fuji is visible on roughly a third of days and most often in winter mornings; from June to September it is hidden in cloud more often than not, and no operator can promise the view, so the lakes and the pagoda are planned as worth the day on their own.

The price covers Air-conditioned tourist vehicle, driver and multilingual guide, Pickup and drop-off at 2 designated meeting points, Highway tolls and Overtime fees for driver and guide. It does not cover All personal expenses, Lunch and Each person may bring one piece of luggage. If you have, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Hotel pickup in Mount Fuji. Tour Easy confirms your pickup time and the exact spot once the booking is in. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Tour Easy before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Today was the absolute best day ever! We had Linda as our tour guide and I have never met anyone as happy and energetic and passionate as her. She knew so much background and went out of her way to make sure that we had the BEST views of Mt Fuji. Not only that but overall with the food, the shopping etc I would absolutely recommend this tour and definitely again another shoutout for Linda! YOU’RE THE BEST LINDA

We recently joined a wonderful day tour to see Mt. Fuji and could not have asked for a better experience. Our guide, Erina, was outstanding—professional, incredibly knowledgeable about the history, geology, and cultural significance of the area, and genuinely enthusiastic throughout the day. She kept the group engaged with great stories and tips, made sure everyone had perfect photo opportunities (the views were stunning) and handled all the logistics smoothly. The tour was well-paced, comfortable, and truly memorable. Highly recommend this tour and especially Erina if you get the chance—she m

Nobody can promise it. Fuji is clear on roughly a third of days, most often on winter mornings, and from June to September it is in cloud more often than not. Only during the official season, roughly early July to early September — exact dates are announced each year per route. Outside it the mountain huts close, and climbing becomes a serious mountaineering proposition rather than a hike. A mandatory climbing fee and a daily cap now apply on the Yoshida route, with the other routes following. Full detail in our guide to climbing Mount Fuji.
Counterintuitively, winter — the cold, dry air gives the clearest views, while humid summer haze often hides the mountain entirely. That means the climbing season is also the worst viewing season. Where and when to look is covered in our Mount Fuji viewpoints guide.
An Odakyu pass covering the whole Hakone loop — Tozan railway, cable car, ropeway, Lake Ashi boats and buses — for less than buying the legs separately. How the loop works and which direction to travel it is in getting around Hakone.
It varies. Many traditional baths still refuse tattoos, some now allow them with cover stickers, and a private bath (kashikiri) is the reliable workaround. Bathing etiquette and how to find tattoo-friendly options are in our Hakone onsen guide.
It was listed in 2013 for its influence on art, literature and pilgrimage — not for its geology. That is why the listing includes places like Oshino Hakkai and the Sengen shrines, not just the peak itself. Background in our climbing Mount Fuji guide.
Two days lets you do the loop without rushing and still soak properly in an onsen — a single day works but means moving constantly. Our Hakone 2-day itinerary maps it out hour by hour.
Most Hakone and Mt. Fuji private tours here are priced for the whole party, not per traveller — the operator is providing a vehicle and a guide, so a group of four pays the same as a couple. The exceptions are the group summit climbs, which are genuinely per person. Each tour page states which model applies.
