Full description

This is a 10-hour experience from Mount Fuji, built around Bus/coach, Mt. Fuji 5th Station and Local restaurant. It is run by Japan Panoramic Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Mount Fuji is 3,776 metres, Japan's highest mountain and an active volcano that last erupted in 1707. Day tours from Tokyo go to the Fuji Five Lakes on its north side, about two hours away: Lake Kawaguchiko for the classic reflection view, Oshino Hakkai's spring-fed ponds, the Chureito Pagoda above Fujiyoshida with the mountain behind it, and often the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station at 2,300 metres when the road is open, roughly April to November. The summit is climbable only in July and August. Fuji is visible on roughly a third of days and most often in winter mornings; from June to September it is hidden in cloud more often than not, and no operator can promise the view, so the lakes and the pagoda are planned as worth the day on their own.

It was great. The weather cooperated with us in the morning and we could see Mt. Fuji. However, the clouds quickly rolled in and covered it. As we were leaving it was visible again. Our bus pulled over so we could take pictures, however our bus wouldn’t let us out to take them with our family with it in the background. We had to take the pictures through the window. Other buses were letting their passengers off to take the pictures. I wish ours would have. That was the only really disappointing thing on the tour.

We had a wonderful time Roszi and My were our tour guides. Roszi was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Both ladies were so sweet. Although a long day we enjoyed everything throughout the day.

Kazu our tour guide was excellent. Very informative and friendly. Had good sense of humour and kept the group together well. Was happy to answer all questions. The modes of transport meant we got to experience bus, cable car, boat and train all in one day. Also got some amazing photos of Mt Fuji.

Nobody can promise it. Fuji is clear on roughly a third of days, most often on winter mornings, and from June to September it is in cloud more often than not.
