Full description
This is a 7-hour experience from Mount Fuji, built around Kimpu Jinja, Yoshino Mikumari Jinja and Hanayagura observation point. It is run by Nara Guide, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Mount Fuji is 3,776 metres, Japan's highest mountain and an active volcano that last erupted in 1707. Day tours from Tokyo go to the Fuji Five Lakes on its north side, about two hours away: Lake Kawaguchiko for the classic reflection view, Oshino Hakkai's spring-fed ponds, the Chureito Pagoda above Fujiyoshida with the mountain behind it, and often the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station at 2,300 metres when the road is open, roughly April to November. The summit is climbable only in July and August. Fuji is visible on roughly a third of days and most often in winter mornings; from June to September it is hidden in cloud more often than not, and no operator can promise the view, so the lakes and the pagoda are planned as worth the day on their own.
Pickup is offered from Yoshino Station, Yamato-Saidaiji Station, Kintetsu Kyoto Station and ŌSAKA-ABENOBASHI Station; the exact spot and time are agreed with Nara Guide once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.
The price covers Guide and Guide fees. It does not cover Lunch fee and Transportation costs: walking tour in Yoshino; public, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Nara Guide sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Nara Guide before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
it was perfectly balanced between walking and using various forms of transport. ideal even with young children.
We started our journey through the elevations of the mountain by cherry blossom bus, slowly walking during the day along the trail back to the ropeway for Yoshino Station. Mouland knew the history of Yoshino and we visited the significant temple, shrines and viewpoints for photos. Lunch at a local restaurant was excellent. Nature provided spectacular colour of cherry blossom in a mountainous environment.
