Nagoya is Japan's fourth city and the gateway to the Ghibli Park at Nagakute, opened in 2022 with timed tickets that sell out weeks ahead, to Nagashima Spa Land and its rollercoasters, and to Inuyama, whose castle is one of the twelve original keeps. Nagoya Castle's golden dolphins and the Toyota Commemorative Museum are the city's own sights, and hitsumabushi grilled eel and miso katsu are its food. The Ise Grand Shrine, Shinto's most sacred site, rebuilt every twenty years, is 90 minutes south.

A fantastic experience and introduction to the beautiful instrument koto and its rich heritage, very generously and expertly taught by true master teachers! The lesson was well balanced with excellent demonstration and moving performances, as well as time to try the instrument and learn a beginner piece. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic musical experience in a fun environment!
