Nagoya is Japan's fourth city and the gateway to the Ghibli Park at Nagakute, opened in 2022 with timed tickets that sell out weeks ahead, to Nagashima Spa Land and its rollercoasters, and to Inuyama, whose castle is one of the twelve original keeps. Nagoya Castle's golden dolphins and the Toyota Commemorative Museum are the city's own sights, and hitsumabushi grilled eel and miso katsu are its food. The Ise Grand Shrine, Shinto's most sacred site, rebuilt every twenty years, is 90 minutes south.

I would highly recommend this roundtrip bus to Shiramawa-go! The bus was highly comfortable with rugs for the journey, the driver and his colleague were friendly providing maps of key locations to visit whilst there. Although we weren't able to stay the full 3 hours due to delays from snow, what we saw was sufficient. I found going at your own pace to this town was great and didn't feel we missed out from not having a guide.

It was a bus transfer but very comfortable- business class type of the bus with fully reclined seats. Only 5 people in the bus.
