Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Sapporo, built around Bus/coach, Jigokudani (Hell Valley) and Eight Views of Lake Toya Toyako Onsen. It is run by TOURSTORY Japan, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Hokkaido is Japan's northern island, a different climate and a different scale: Sapporo is its city, with the beer museum, the ramen alley and the February snow festival; Otaru, 40 minutes away, has the canal and the glass and music-box shops; Noboribetsu is the hell-valley hot springs; Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu are caldera lakes; and Biei and Furano in the centre are the flower fields and lavender of July. Winter brings two metres of snow to Sapporo and the powder that made Niseko famous. Distances are long and trains are few, so day tours from Sapporo are mostly by bus and run eight to ten hours.
The price covers Round-trip Transportation and English & Korean Speaking Staff. It does not cover Meals, Other Personal Expenses and Travelers Insurance, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
TOURSTORY Japan sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with TOURSTORY Japan before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Traveler Reviews
Nice tour and Kundan was awesome, they dropped me right at Mount Yotei so I can climb it the day after :) Greetings from germany
We really enjoyed Noboribetsu / Lake Toya / Niseko group tour with very kind and helpful 2 guides Kundan from Nepal and Sei from Korea. Both of our guides worked hard to make sure everyone in this big group had a great time and travel safe together. Kundan introduced us to the short Helicopter ride which me and my teenagers love the experience very much. We also went to all 3 places in the itinerary with enough time to relax and enjoy the experiences. Kundan and Sei also helped taking photos for us and other people in this tour too. Appreciate their helps and guidances indeed.
A very enjoyable and well-organized trip. The van was very comfortable, and we had sufficient time to explore every attraction. The beautiful scenery was made even better by the great weather. Our guide, Baku, was exceptionally warm and hospitable, making our experience truly unforgettable. He went the extra mile by sending us fantastic local food recommendations via WhatsApp for our meals in Lake Toya and Sapporo. Highly recommend this tour.
It was a small tour, and our guide, Bossaer, was very hands-on and helpful throughout the day. We had plenty of time to explore each location without feeling rushed, and since we visited in early July, the spots weren't too crowded. There are also optional activities, such as renting a boat on Lake Toya, so be sure to bring some cash if you'd like to participate. I recommend booking this tour.
Great trip and our tour guide Yushi is very friendly and patient. Explaining the places we visiting and giving us guide to restaurants for our meals. Very personalised trip, Highly recommend!
Everything was great. We got lucky as there were only 4 of us, and that’s why we rode on a van rather than a bus. The spots were awesome and the whole ride we got to see beautiful spots and mountains. We didn’t get bored anywhere at any time. The tour guides, Baku and Ray (I hope I spelled their names right) were lovely. For us, it was a bargain for the price, and the tour felt very personalised. I would recommend this tour if you were to spend a couple of days in sapporo. Cheers.
Day trip was pleasant. I enjoyed being in a small group and having free time to explore. I would have liked it if the tour leader gave us history of Hokkaido and the areas we were driving through- agriculture, importance of dairy to the region. Also, some more time to hike.
This was a great trip. Packed with great spots along the way. Really great value for money. The highlight was definitely mount toya. It was so beautiful and peaceful. There was a stop where we get to enjoy local hokkaido dairy product and ice cream. That was also very nice. The tour guide Andy was super organised and attentive time. He is very cheerful and speaks very fluent Korean, Japanese and English. Highly recommended tour.
