This is a 3-hour experience in Sapporo. It is run by Topnotch Time Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Hokkaido is Japan's northern island, a different climate and a different scale: Sapporo is its city, with the beer museum, the ramen alley and the February snow festival; Otaru, 40 minutes away, has the canal and the glass and music-box shops; Noboribetsu is the hell-valley hot springs; Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu are caldera lakes; and Biei and Furano in the centre are the flower fields and lavender of July. Winter brings two metres of snow to Sapporo and the powder that made Niseko famous. Distances are long and trains are few, so day tours from Sapporo are mostly by bus and run eight to ten hours.

Aika was absolutely wonderful! She customized the tour of Sapporo for our family and found something for everyone to enjoy. Our 2 year old and 4 year old boys adored her. She all o showed us how to use the subway and found all the elevators for our strollers. We got to try local favorites and even after the tour we were able to try some recommendations that we loved. You’ll get to see the real Sapporo outside of the tourist areas, but you’ll see some of those too! She really makes the tour into whatever your family wants it to be! Sapporo would not have been complete without this tour.

It’s an amazing tour. The guide, Aika, knows the best spots in town. She’s friendly and attentive. I felt like meeting and old friend for a stroll. I vividly recommend it.
