Full description
This is a 8-hour experience in Sapporo. It is run by Clover Travel Co., Ltd., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Hokkaido is Japan's northern island, a different climate and a different scale: Sapporo is its city, with the beer museum, the ramen alley and the February snow festival; Otaru, 40 minutes away, has the canal and the glass and music-box shops; Noboribetsu is the hell-valley hot springs; Lake Toya and Lake Shikotsu are caldera lakes; and Biei and Furano in the centre are the flower fields and lavender of July. Winter brings two metres of snow to Sapporo and the powder that made Niseko famous. Distances are long and trains are few, so day tours from Sapporo are mostly by bus and run eight to ten hours.
The price covers Tour guide and Round-trip transfers from the meeting point. It does not cover Personal expenses, Other personal consumption, Blue Cave boat cruise fee and Insurance, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.

Hong was very well organised and with his impressive language skills managed a very international group of people. I liked that he gave the tour his personal touch by sharibg his personal story about moving to Japan. Kape kamui was so impressive and beautiful, it’s really worth the 2 hour busride. Thank you for a great insightful tour!
It was a very good trip with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Well worth it and Hong did a fantastic job as a tour guide
The scenery at Cape Kamui is absolutely stunning. The vivid "Shikami Blue" seawater has to be seen in person—photos simply cannot capture its gorgeous multi-layered shades of blue. The Otaru Shopping Street is wonderful for strolling and shopping.
Such an amazing experience! The guide made the tour super fun and I loved discovering hidden spots I wouldn't have found on my own. Highly recommended for travellers seeking an authentic and memorable experience.
I had a wonderful experience on this tour and thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and welcomed throughout the journey.
The organization of this tour was poor. The instructions were confusing as I received 3 different messages before the tour. The tour itself is not worth the money. While the cliff area is impossible to reach via public transport, it is a very small site and you have only an hour there. Otaru, on the other hand, is easy to reach independently in 30 minutes.
The visit to Kamui was enjoyable, despite the very windy weather. The driver and tour guide were both friendly and professional throughout the trip. We had expected to visit the blue cave but due to the weather conditions the boat did not actually reach the cave. While the operators reduced the charge by 2,000 yen to reflect this, we were not informed beforehand that the route had changed. Had this been explained clearly in advance, we would have opted out of the cruise. There was no English translation during the blue cave cruise. We were concerned by the seagull feeding activity.
