4 Hours Shibuya - Shinjuku Night Tour
Full description
This is a 4-hour experience from Tokyo, built around Shibuya Nonbei Yokocho, Shibuya Crossing and Dogenzaka. It is run by Japan Magic Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.
The price covers Guide, Walking tour and All fees and taxes. It does not cover Transportation fee, Meals or drinks and Insurance, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Hachikō Memorial Statue. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Japan Magic Tours before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

We were incredibly fortunate to have such an exceptional guide, and it is truly difficult to put into words just how remarkable this experience was. From the very first interaction, everything was seamless, professional, and reassuring. It was immediately clear that we were in the hands of someone who is deeply passionate about their work and genuinely committed to delivering an unforgettable experience. The level of professionalism was flawless: perfect punctuality, excellent organization, clear communication, and a well-structured itinerary that never felt rushed or rigid. What truly set thi
Our guide Jenny was great fun, knowledgeable & very courteous all round. Jenny shared the evening with us & helped make it memorable for so many reasons. If you decide to take this tour ask for Jenny!
Jay took us around Shibuya and Shinjuku and showed us some places we might not have seen otherwise. He took us to a couple high end restaurant/night clubs where my adult kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Our tour was scheduled for 4 hours but Jay stayed with us for about 6 and made sure everyone made it back to our hotel safely. Absolutely an amazing experience and definitely recommended. A+++
It was an amazing tour, our guide was so lovely and friendly. We loved spending time with her. She was very knowledgeable but also fun!! I would highly recommend this tour and we would love to go back and do it again!!!
It turned out for my tour I was the only person. I chatted Jay on what's app and said what I had seen as I was here for 3 day already and told him my interests up front in stead of doing it when I got there and he taylored my experience add some things that were not usually on the tour (vinyl record shops, a funky shopping center and a Vinyl Bar). All were great and not expected. Easy to talk to and get along. Would have no issue recommending it. Cheers I had a great time.
Not a food tour. A one to one sample of two of the best Tokyo areas.
Our tour was very interesting and informative, all due to our fantastic guide. His knowledge of English was only surpassed by his knowledge of Tokyo. I would recommend this tour to all our friends
Sam was amazing! He was fun, knowledgeable and very interesting. We walked through colorful backstreets that we would never have found on our own and had the most incredible dinner with him at a small inexpensive family owned Japanese restaurant. Highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Sam you’ll understand why!
we had a fantastic tour. the Guide "Sam" was excellent, really friendly and knowledgeable. We done the tour on our first evening, Sam helped us with the transportation cards. the trip was the very good value and really worth it.
We recently went on a night walking tour, and we can confidently say it’s a must for anyone visiting the area! Our guide, Sam, was incredibly accommodating, kind, and friendly, and he quickly became a friend, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and included. As we navigated the vibrant streets of Shibuya and Shinjuku, we enjoyed a beautiful meal that exceeded our expectations, all while engaging in lively and meaningful conversations. The energy of the city at night is truly magical, and Sam’s insights into the culture and history of the area made each moment even more special. It was more tha
We struggled to get to the meeting place on time but kindly Sam waited for us for which we were very grateful. We found Sam very easy to talk to and had suggested a few things that interested us and he took us to see these things over and above what he showed us on our tour . He was very easy to speak to, and we enjoyed our time with him Dinner was absolutely delicious , a special ramen restaurant we would never have found on our own , we travelled on the underground for a short part of our tour and felt that he quietly directed us all tnd time caring about our interests as well as what he cou
Jenny is a wonderful Tokyo local who knows her way around the major sub-cities of Tokyo. Such knowledge allows for planning to see great places to visit or eat at that are out of the way of the crowded tourist areas.
