This is a 1.5-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by Manga Do, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.

Amazing and unique experience in Shinjuku. All of the staff was super friendly and welcoming. 2 professional voice actors spent the full session with us, coaching us, giving us tips… Dubbing the clip was a lot of fun (you can do many voices). The team also answered all of our questions, and offered some insights on their work as voice actors. I definitely recommend!

10/10 experience! Meeting professional voice actors, watching them work, and then having to recreate that was so difficult! I am able to respect more what they do! Also watching anime now will be different because I’ll think about all the work and dedication that is put into making everything finalized! The voice actors I met, whether they’re the main character or not of a game, show, and so on— was so special because it’s crazy to see how close connections are in Japan!

This was one of the most fun, unique things we did on our trip to Tokyo. The folks at the recording studio were fun and charismatic, and also the real deal. We got to very goofily act out way through a sort of infomercial anime, very kawaii. A few days later we got the full edited clip, which was so cool! My only criticism is that I wish the guides had given us a little more instruction- we were kind of told to act however we wanted, but I was hoping to be *taught* how to voice act a little more. Some direction, please! Still, a very memorable experience that I would recommend to anyone.
