Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.

Unsere Tour durch die Imperial Gardens mit Takumi war sehr informativ. Unser Guide war äußerst zuvorkommend und hat alles sehr verständlich erklärt - sein Englisch war fantastisch (Bonus für uns: er sprach ebenfalls super Deutsch). We did a fabulous walking tour of the Imperial Palace. I can’t recommend Akane (tour guide) more highly. We a a lovely group of 6 - 4 from Scotland, 1 from Indonesia and 1 from Australia. Akane took time and was genuinely interested in Everything he was showing us. We stopped along the way and the landmarks and items were well explained. Akane was able to answer all questions about whatever he was asked. Top tip - if doing an early tour. Arrive 1 hour early and have coffee and breakfast at the Starbucks.
