Full description
This is a 10-hour experience from Tokyo, built around Bus/coach, Kotoku-in and Hase Station. It is run by イ一エストラベル株式会社, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Kamakura, an hour south of Tokyo, was the seat of Japan's first shogunate from 1185 and is now a temple town on the sea. The Great Buddha at Kotoku-in, a bronze of 1252 that sits in the open since a tsunami took its hall in 1498, is the reason to come; Hase-dera's hydrangeas in June, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu at the head of the main street, and the hiking trails between the temples fill the rest. The Enoden tram runs along the coast to Enoshima island, with Fuji across the bay on a clear winter day.
The price covers Transportation service, Enoshima Electric Railway ticket, Multilingual tour guide, Expressway tolls and Parking fees. It does not cover Lunch, Food and drinks, Personal expenses and Kamakura Great Buddha admission: 300 yen, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
イ一エストラベル株式会社 sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with イ一エストラベル株式会社 before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
