Full description
A half-day is enough to see Tokyo properly if you are not trying to see all of it. This tour takes four hours and spends them on whatever you actually care about rather than on a checklist.
The usual shape covers the essentials. Meiji Shrine sits inside a forest of about 100,000 trees, every one donated from across Japan and planted by hand in the 1920s — a century on it reads as ancient woodland, which was exactly the intent. Senso-ji in Asakusa dates to 645 and is the oldest temple in the city. Shibuya Crossing needs no explanation.
Nakano Broadway is the one worth asking about. A 1966 shopping complex that became the serious collector's alternative to Akihabara — four floors of tiny units selling vintage manga, out-of-print figures, retro games and watches, run by specialists who have been there for decades. It is denser and stranger than anything in Akihabara and most visitors never hear about it.
Because it is private and priced low, this works well as a first-afternoon orientation — get your bearings, learn the train system with someone who knows it, and spend the rest of the trip confident.

Detailed Itinerary
The tour opens wherever suits you — hotel lobby or a station — and the first fifteen minutes settle the route. Afternoons are the common slot but mornings work equally well.
Meiji Shrine is usually first because the approach walk is a good way to talk while you move, and the forest is a genuinely calm start. Shibuya follows, a short train ride away, taking in the crossing and the Hachiko statue.
The last stretch is the real decision. Asakusa and Senso-ji if you want the traditional side; Nakano Broadway if anime, manga or vintage collecting is your thing, in which case your guide can navigate the four floors and translate with the shop owners. The tour ends near a station with directions for your evening.
