Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by Tokyo Ramen Tours, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.
The price covers 6 mini bowls of ramen and 1 beverage. It does not cover Train ticket, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Tokyo Ramen Tours sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Tokyo Ramen Tours before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.
Includes
- 6 mini bowls of ramen

Sam was hilarious and knowledgeable about all the restaurants we ate at. On top of that all of the food was top notch. It avoids tourist traps and all of the restaurants in the tour are lesser known, hidden gems
Fun tour hopping around Shibuya area. We learned so much about the different types of ramen which helped throughout our trip when we’d stop for ramen. We also enjoyed seeing some more local places instead of high traffic stops. Highly recommend for an intro to Japanese ramen!
I had an amazing time with Sahori! She did a fantastic job explaining the different types of ramen and the history behind each place and even their owners which was so cool. And the food was so delicious. I’d highly recommend anyone take this tour. You’ll leave with a full stomach and with so much knowledge!!
I had a great time! Sahori was very nice and taught me a lot about Ramen and Japan in general. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tokyo.
Tour was great! We loved all the different ramen tastings & spots we visited. Daisy our guide was great! Our tour got switched due to a closed shop and communication was great.
Fabulous! If you love Ramen, take this tour. Sahori was amazing!!!
We had a great tour with Sahori! She was engaging and enthusiastic, everything you expect in a ramen tour guide. The ramen was delicious, we ate so much. I’ll be recommending this tour to my friends
We had a great time on Makayla’s tour! My husband and I have taken food tours in many cities around the world and this was the best yet! The food was delicious and we learned a lot about Ramen as well as some Japanese phrases. We loved all the spots on the tour and the great variety in ramen types and flavors! Arigato Gozaimasu!
Sahori was fantastic, her English was perfect having lived in the US for many years. We got lucky with only two of us on the tour and got a chance to sample all 12 bowls of ramen. Would highly recommend for those that love Ramen!
Fantastic. Learned a lot about different types of ramen, got a full belly of delicious ramen, very enjoyable. Bunga clearly has a love for ramen and shared a lot of great knowledge. I recommend it.
Excellent adventure and great way to try several different types of ramen. Highly recommend! Annie was a great guide!
Sahori made this a great evening along with new friends from around the world. The ramen selections were unique and tasty and well explained. Thank you for a great tour!
