Full description
This is a 2-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by GLOBA Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.
The price covers Samurai sword lesson, Use of hakama, Use of a samurai helmet, Use of samurai armor and Themed photo opportunities. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
GLOBA Inc. sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with GLOBA Inc. before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Roy was absolutely incredible with his sword 🗡️ techniques and he should be every single move a samurai would’ve had done in the past . Thank you 🙏 so much Roy it was a pleasure learning the way of the sword with you.
My husband and I had an Excellent experience for sword lesson & learn a lot of Samurai Ninja history at the museum . Yuku & Yuki are both great 👍 At the end, Yuki was very nice to give us an umbrella since it was raining. Strongly recommend this activity!
Koki was a great instructor for that Samurai lesson, really glad to have done those as part of our trip
I highly recommend it. I would definitely book again.
Fantastic experience doing this tour. Learnt so much about the samurai culture from Ryo. The real life experience pwas fun learning samurai etiquette, one on one combat with foam swords and the ninja star throwing. A great informative, fun afternoon
Ryo was a brilliant instructor giving us a brief history on Samurai and the demo was excellent. We had such a fun time.
Great experience! We loved it and we did want it to end!
Great lesson with Kenny who put you at ease, followed by Kota with a knowledgeable tour and finished with a throwing star to targets ending, thoughlly a excellent experience.
Absolutely brilliant experience! We enjoyed every minute - thank you! One of my favourite activities in Tokyo!
Really enjoyable experience - you really get to immerse yourself in the activity, handling the swords etc. And the museum is small but packs a lot in.
We had a blast with Koki in the samurai lesson and really enjoyed learning more about samurai and ninjas with Yuto.
Me and my group really enjoyed the Samurai experience. I am quite fascinated by the whole 'Samurai', so it was a treat to be able to experience in the most simplistic and amateur form of being a samurai. We laughed and had fun, while burning calories 🤣. Thank you for being accomodating.
