Full description
The tightest version of the Tokyo kart run. Forty-five minutes on the road, no padding, and the two shots people actually want: the crossing and the tower.
These are road-registered vehicles, which is why the route uses live traffic instead of a closed track. Shibuya Crossing moves up to 3,000 people on a single light change, and going through it at road level with pedestrians flooding past on every side is the whole reason this exists.
Omotesando supplies the easy riding — a wide zelkova-lined avenue that gives the guide clean space to shoot the group in motion — while Harajuku tightens things up before the finish.
Costumes are included and are half the point. The paperwork is not optional: Japan requires an International Driving Permit issued under the 1949 Geneva Convention, carried physically with your home licence and passport. It has to be arranged in your own country before you fly; no shop in Tokyo can issue one.

Detailed Itinerary
Arrive twenty minutes before your slot. The licence check happens first and is strict — a physical Geneva-Convention IDP, your home licence and your passport, or you do not ride and there is no refund. Costume and helmet follow, then a short briefing on the controls and the hand signals used in traffic.
Omotesando opens the loop because it is wide and well surfaced, which is the gentlest way into Tokyo traffic. Harajuku narrows things. The last stretch drops into Shibuya for the crossing.
Photos are transferred back at the garage.

The activity was spectacular. We booked an hour and regretted not booking more time. I should also mention that they were one of the few who offered the activity in Spanish, and we appreciated that. Dani was great! If we go back to Japan, we will definitely do it again.
The go kart riding experience was super fun and exciting. You literally drive down the roads in Tokyo and Shibuya at a high rate of speed. The tour guides were super nice and friendly. Don’t worry they will not let you go alone. Also. You get to take photos and videos at every stop. Shibuya Kart has lots of costumes to choose from and it’s pretty fun wearing them and driving a go kart. Attracts a lot of lookers and people taking your photo in and around the Shibuya district. I would highly recommend to try it with friends and family.
Highly recommended activity. Driving among the cars in Tokyo is something indescribable. They take you through busy streets and, depending on the package you choose, you even get to see Tokyo Tower or Shibuya Crossing. You have the option of wearing a costume of a character you like without paying extra. There are options at an extra cost to rent a holder for your cell phone, or you can even rent GoPro-type cameras or 360-degree cameras. In my opinion, this service isn't expensive because you get something of quality. During the tour, they take photos of you and share them with you at the end without charging you extra for them. In my case, I had to do the trip with Dani and another guy whose name I don't know, but who also spoke Spanish. During the stops on the tour, I was able to talk about Japan with Dani, and it was very pleasant. It's definitely an activity I would do again. Both tour guides are safety conscious throughout the tour.
Great overall activity highly recommended especially the passing through Shibuya at the evening was amazing.

Lots of fun. Itafan was a fun guide. Karts are very fast and comfortable. It gets pretty exciting as you travel 50 mph thru the streets of Tokyo.
