Full description
This is a 1.5-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by culturebox株式会社, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.
The price covers Hand-rolled sushi workshop, Traditional 'happi' coat for participants, Ingredients for sushi making, Support from staff and Tasting session of self-made sushi. It does not cover Transportation to the studio and Personal expenses, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
culturebox株式会社 sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with culturebox株式会社 before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

This was a great highly personalised experience just for the two of us. We had a great laugh, Tiger was a great teacher and historian this was an unexpected delight. Easy to find above the go-karts.
It was amazing! We had so much fun, learned a lot and it was delicious. thank you!
superleuke activiteit en een hele fijne begeleider.
We had such a wonderful time in our sushi making experience and we loved our instructor James. He shared the fascinating history of sushi, explained each step of the process, and patiently answered every question we had. The class was hands-on, engaging, and easy to follow, and we left with a much greater appreciation for the art of sushi making. James was knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
I had an amazing experience. The staff was so personable and friendly. They made my group feel comfortable and welcomed. We laughed so hard at times. My daughter was able to get one on one attention and she loved it so much. She wants to make sushi when we get back home.
The event was well planned. We atmosphere was great and we felt extremely comfortable and welcomed. The overall experience from beginning to end was everything that was described and more. I the food was well prepared and played out to make Sushi and our teacher was very helpful. I would definitely repeat with other work colleagues and in small groups I would bring business customers. Well done!
