This is a 8-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by Japan Guide Agency, JGA Inc., an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.

We can’t think of anything that would have made today any better. Kaz was amazing. He took us exactly where we wanted to go and showed us exactly what we wanted to see. If your cruise ship ports in Yokohama, but you really want to see Tokyo, this tour is a great way to get that done. It was a PERFECT day. We highly recommend Kaz.

Masa Abe was an exceptional guide. He shared the history of the Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace. He got us around Tokyo on the subway/train which was quite an experience for us. We highly recommend him as your guide.
