This is a 2-hour experience from Tokyo, built around Meiji Shrine and Takeshita Street. It is run by Reelu inc, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.

Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.

we went on this tour with Tomo and had a really good time exploring the streets of harajuku as well as getting to know a little bit more about Meiji shrine and the religions of Japan. Tomo was very friendly and helpful. We had a good time

Had an amazing experience with our guide Tom! He was incredibly warm and friendly, and had good knowledge and personal insights about the shrine and history. He made the whole experience so much more meaningful and even helped us to navigate Taikashi Street which was very hectic! You can really tell he cares about what he does Highly recommend—an easy 5 stars!

Masa was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and kind, I learned so much at Meji Shrine I would otherwise not have. The mixture of old and new Tokyo on this tour is also great. The tour is brand new and had no ratings yet, so I took a chance booking and do not regret it. Highly recommend.
