Full description
This is a 1-hour experience in Tokyo. It is run by Traveling Tokyo, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.
The price covers One vintage coin, All materials and tools, instruction throughout the workshop and Your finished handmade ring. It does not cover Rare and premium Japanese vintage coins, Engraving on the ring, Shiny polish finish and Special ring shapes and custom designs, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price.
Traveling Tokyo sends the meeting point and time by email as soon as the booking is confirmed. We need at least one day's notice, and we confirm the date with Traveling Tokyo before treating your booking as final. If they cannot take your date we tell you and refund you rather than leave you waiting.

Sammy was great! Knowledgeable and very clear with her instructions. Explained the options convincingly and enthusiastically
The entire process of explaining how to make the rings, choosing the coins, the price for each coin chosen was very clear. Choosing the coins, then getting to punch the coins, heating them, stretching them and finally polishing them was such a fun experience. Daniel our guide was super friendly, knowledgeable and made the entire process a fun experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to create a unique and one of a kind gift/souvenir from your trip to Tokyo, Japan.
We initially thought it was too cheap to be true. But it was actually very nice. I can only recommend it. Nice and new equipment. And our instructor Adit was very nice and competent!
The workshop was amazing, i did my ring with mexican coin, and Kuria help us to do, she is very nice, attentive and sweet
Daniel has been a fantastic guide and craftsman. He help me make 7 rings and walked me through the whole process. He was so personable, friendly and always smiling. If you are going to make a ring come here and ask for Daniel. He is the ring maker master

Great unique experience. Such a nice lifetime souvenir
Its a pretty fun experience. Yuka was amazing at helping me pick out a coin and explaining the entire process
One of the best experience making our special rings . Lydia was amazing. She had great knowledge and was very funny . Would definitely recommend
Adit was our instructor and was so friendly and helpful during entire process. He helped to personalize our experience and walked us patiently throughout. My friend accidentally cracked his ring during the process and Adit allowed him to create another and even called his peer Issey to help expedite the process. Overall, an amazing experience that I would definitely do again and highly recommend. I will definitely be back in the future to make another when I am in Japan. Thanks Adit for being so kind, sharing your stories, and recommendations. Good luck with your schooling and future endeavors
