Tokyo is the largest city on earth by metropolitan population and it is best seen as a set of neighbourhoods on the Yamanote loop line rather than one place. Asakusa has Senso-ji, the city's oldest temple, and Nakamise's shopping lane; Shibuya has the scramble crossing and Shinjuku the bars of Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho; Harajuku is Takeshita Street and Meiji Shrine's forest; Akihabara is electronics and anime; Ginza is department stores and sushi counters. Everything runs on time and the last trains are around midnight. Cash still matters in small restaurants, an IC card covers every train and bus, and tipping is not done anywhere.

Die Tour ist ein guter Weg, kurzfristig an Tickets für ein laufendes Sumoturnier in Tokio zu kommen. Man zahlt zwar viel mehr als der Normalpreis, aber dafür kommt man rein und bekommt gute Plätze. Das lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, wenn man von weit anreist und nur kurz da ist. Die kleine Tour davor war ganz nett, die Führen hat uns einige nette Spots in der Gegend gezeigt.

I booked floor seats for the final championship match a month in advance..10 days before trip i was bumped and offered a refund or same seats for the semifinal 1 day before..I took the semi final and had to rearrange all my plans..day of the event my guide was a no show and I had to call the main office..when they arrived they tried to give me cheaper seats..not until I protested did they finally have someone respond from main office with my floor seats.
