Full description

A 8-day trip out of Kuching taking in Bako National Park, Permai Rainforest Resort, Bengoh Valley Adventure and Batang Ai Adventure. There are 8 stops in all.

The running order is Bako National Park, then Permai Rainforest Resort, then Bengoh Valley Adventure, then Batang Ai Adventure, then Trek in the Forest, and on from there.

The price covers guided jungle trekking, Boat rides, Cultural exchanges with Iban community and Homestay accommodations. It does not cover travel insurance, Personal expenses and Tips, so budget for those separately. Two travellers pay $5585 together rather than $4084 each, because this is priced per party and not per head.

Batang Ai Adventure

Wake up early to enjoy sunrise view from the mountain. After the sunrise, your breakfast will be served. Check out from homestay and go down from the mountain for a short boat ride. The boat will arrive at the jetty where our driver will pick you up and drive to Batang Ai reservoir.

Trek in the Forest

Breakfast will be served at 7.30am. After breakfast, you will get a short boat ride where our jungle trail starts. Hike the jungle trails along the river and search for Orangutan and monkeys. This is the only place in Sarawak where you can find wild orangutan. Then continue upriver by longboat. The destination is scenic Waterfall. After arriving at the waterfall, you can enjoy the waterfall and river.

A cruise from Kuching

Breakfast will be served in the lodge at 7.30am. Have a last short self-walk in the village (Self walk or with local guide). At 9.00am you will get our boat to Batang Ai jetty. We start our journey from jetty to Kuching around 11.00am. After 2 hours of drive, we will stop at Serian for refueling and lunch in a local restaurant. Estimated time of arrival at city will be 3.30pm. Check-in hotel & freshen up & then enjoy the cruise.

Tanjung Datu Adventure

You will be picked up from their hotel and driven to Telok Melano Village. A short boat ride will transfer you to the pristine beach of Tanjung Datu National Park. Upon arrival, our guide will assist with park registration and show you to your hut or designated camping area. Afternoon relaxing and enjoying the untouched beach and surrounding nature. After dinner, enjoy a short guided jungle night walk, where you may have the opportunity to observe nocturnal wildlife.

Rainforest Exploration

After breakfast, meet your guide and begin a guided jungle walk. Before setting off, you will prepare your packed lunch. As you hike through the forest, your guide will share insights into the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest, pointing out medicinal plants, towering trees, and signs of wildlife along the way. The trail offers an immersive experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the untouched natural environment and the sounds of the jungle.

Return to Kuching

After breakfast, enjoy free time at the beach or take a short hike (approximately 500 meters) to a nearby viewpoint offering stunning coastal panoramas. Along the trail, you may encounter Bornean bird species, macaques, and other wildlife that inhabit the area. At around 10:00 a.m., you will return to Telok Melano Village. Upon arrival at the jetty, our driver will be waiting to receive you. You will then stop at a local restaurant for lunch before continuing the journey back to Kuching.
